Cam's Corner - Your Vote, Your Voice

From Cam Bennett, Recording Secretary for the Tennessee Labor and Employment Relations Association:

Unions are gaining momentum, but your help is required to keep it moving. Don't wait until November to get involved. Read up on everything on the ballot. Know who is running and how they plan to help you. Pay attention to referendums and what is included beyond what is printed. Look for the union label on political campaign material. Vote early. Volunteer. Offer assistance to other voters including rides to the polls. Phone bank. Visit voters. Donate. Your union needs voluntary contributions for its ability to support labor endorsed candidates. Participate in your meetings to learn and share information. The impact you make today will become an influence on who represents you tomorrow. Get out the vote for labor endorsed candidates. Together we can ensure a brighter future for all Working families.
